It’s been a pretty good run lately what with literary festivals, arts festivals, live music, house parties and such. Rugby Sevens and Sam Mendes’ The Tempest and Bob Dylan coming up. Weh! For St. Patrick’s day I did not don a spot of green nor imbibe a green libation. Instead, I wore black (typical), drank lager (consequence of geography) and took in another night of live music at Grappa’s as The Peoples’ Party marches on. This was The Secret Machines, and they were pretty alright. I haven’t heard hard-jam-rock in a while and it was cool to revisit. Technically they were very sound and I do believe I they covered David Byrne’s Heaven. Nice touch. Totally.

And the guitarist, Phil Karnats, was kinda cute too.
