In Southeast Asia, the monks travel for free and there are generally places reserved for them. This proved true even on the flight from Yangon to Bangkok when we were held from boarding while the monks got on board. It is pretty cool.

These monks are riding the Chao Praya public ferry (my favorite public transport strategy in BKK) and are indeed using the “Space for Monks.”
