Last night typhoon Goni came through the 852. The timing was not really my cup of tea- would have much preferred it to roll though this morning offering a day off. But it was not to be. Today was blustery but still stupidly hot and humid. It rained so hard at one point that in the 200 meter walk from my yoga studio to the restaurant where I met my cousin for dinner pretty much everything I own got totally soaked – and I was using an umbrella.

Fortunatley, dinner was long enough that the rain passed leaving us with heavy skies and 85ºF/87% rh = Heat Index of 100ºF. Oh, yeah and that is right now – at midnight.

The light in these conditions looks like the fake lighting in the Vegas casinos that try to emulate the sky, always close but just not quite right. Here is IFC1, BOC Tower, a sliver of the Cheung Kong Center and Jardin House (with all the circle windows…) under said conditions.
