In line… on line… queuing… However you say it, in Hong Kong we do a lot of it. As with the tai chi photos, I do anticipate getting better with shooting human subjects and I think that the bus lines in particular offer tremendous potential. Even just shooting the shoes would be fun – trying to predict what everyone’s day entails based on attire is one of my favorite bus line activities. As such, bus line behaviors are also a potentially fascinating study; the phone call (real?), the perplexed concern, the daydreamer, the planner… there is a lot to work with.

  1. The lady who’s looking the other way has everything in its proper place. She knows hat no amount of head-scratching, no amount of sighing, no amount of anxious looks will make the bus arrive one second sooner. She’s free to stand back, relax, and let her mind occupy itself with better things.
